It’s a #TripleTruthTuesday, and this is the triple truth, Ruth: racism is killing the planet. Hop Hopkins, Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Sierra Club, wrote it best back in June. I have nothing to add, except encouragement to read his piece… especially if you are confused by how racism is killing the planet. Here’s a hint, provided by Hopkins’ piece’s subheading: “The ideology of white supremacy leads the way toward disposable people and a disposable natural world.” Get it? Got it? Good.
